From Core Skills to Mastery. Our Drawing Pathway is designed to take you on a complete artistic journey – from confidently applying the basics learned in our Art Fundamentals: Line, Tone & Colour course, to developing advanced drawing skills worthy of exhibition.

Whether your goal is to capture the world with accuracy or explore a more expressive personal style, this pathway will give you the technical knowledge and creative freedom to achieve it

Level 1 – Drawing Foundations (Beginner)

Building directly on the skills gained in our Art Fundamentals course, Level 1 focuses on strengthening your observational skills, understanding proportion, and learning how to create convincing light, shadow, and texture. You’ll work in graphite, charcoal, and ink, exploring both quick studies and more detailed work. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid toolkit for drawing with confidence and accuracy

Level 2 – Drawing Development (Intermediate)

In Level 2, you’ll move beyond the basics to tackle more complex subjects and compositions. You’ll study two-point and atmospheric perspective, experiment with mixed media, and learn the foundations of portraiture. Greater emphasis is placed on refining technique, developing a personal style, and working on multi-session projects that demand planning and precision.

Level 3 – Drawing Mastery (Advanced)

Level 3 is for artists ready to push their drawing to the highest standard. You’ll take on ambitious, large-scale works, develop expressive portrait and figure drawing skills, and explore conceptual or narrative drawing. The course culminates in creating a portfolio-ready final project – a statement piece that reflects your unique artistic voice.

Progression & Certificates

At the end of each level, you’ll receive a professionally designed certificate and tailored feedback from your tutor.

Many students choose to progress through all three levels, developing a portfolio that showcases a wide range of technical and creative skills.
