WHY THIS MATTERS

Creative skills shape confident futures.

Art isn’t just about making something pretty — it develops abilities that support children in every area of life:

✨ Confidence & self-expression: They learn to share ideas, trust themselves and take creative risks.

🧠 Problem-solving & critical thinking: Every artwork teaches decisions, perseverance and trying new approaches.

👁 Observation & fine motor skills: They become more aware of detail — a core strength for science, design and technology too.

🎯 Focus & wellbeing: Art gives children a calming space away from screens to explore emotions and mindfulness.

🌱 A foundation for future study: Professional art skills built young = stronger GCSE/A-Level portfolios and opportunities later.

🏅 Recognised Achievement: Arts Award offers a formal pathway to celebrate progress and commitment as they grow.

STUDENT SUCCESS

“The progress has been incredible!”
My daughter has always loved art, but the structured teaching here has taken her skills to a completely new level. She’s learned real techniques and now proudly talks about composition and perspective! The teachers are brilliant and so encouraging — she can’t wait for every class.

— Emma, Parent of a 9-year-old

“A place where they truly feel they belong”
We were looking for something more than crafty clubs — somewhere our son could really develop as an artist. The Art School has been perfect. His confidence has grown massively and the Arts Award has given him such a sense of achievement.
— Rachel, Parent of a 8-year-old

“She’s grown so much in confidence!”
My 6-year-old was a little nervous joining at first, but the team have been amazing. She now chats proudly about her artwork all week and can’t wait to show us everything she’s made. Such a lovely, encouraging environment for young creatives.
— Laura, mum of a 6-year-old
💳 Arts Award Payment Options

To make Arts Award as accessible as possible, we offer two flexible ways to pay:

Option 1 – Pay in Full

Secure their full Arts Award programme in one payment and enjoy a smooth, uninterrupted journey all the way to certification. Best for families who prefer everything sorted upfront, with no additional admin.

Purchase Arts Award

Option 2 – Pay per Term with Award Cost Distributed

Enrol term-by-term while steadily contributing towards the overall Arts Award fee.

The total qualification cost is evenly spread across the number of terms required for that level, so your young artist can continue progressing without a large upfront payment.  Ideal for families who prefer to spread the cost while keeping progress moving.

Both options include:

  • All Arts Award tuition and portfolio support

  • Teacher review, guidance & progress tracking

  • Trinity moderation & certification fees

  • Use of materials and resources

  • Presentation & celebration of their achievement

If you’re unsure which option is best, we’re happy to talk it through and match the structure to your child’s age, level and ambition.

FAQ'S

Do they need previous experience?

No — beginners welcome! We tailor teaching for every level.

Do they need to be “good at art” already?
No. We support complete beginners through to advanced young artists. Everyone progresses at their own pace.

Will this help with GCSE or A-Level Art?
Yes. Our programme strengthens the exact skills needed: observation, composition, experimentation, refinement and evaluation. Many students use the work created here in school portfolios and interviews.

Is Arts Award a recognised qualification?
Yes. Arts Award is awarded by Trinity College London and is recognised nationally. At higher levels, it can support college applications — and Gold carries UCAS points.

Can my child join at any point in the year?
Yes. Each term is designed so new students can join, while returning students continue to progress onto more advanced techniques and Arts Award levels.

What if my child can’t make all 6 sessions?
We encourage students to attend every session where possible to get the most from the course. If a lesson is missed, we provide a guided homework task covering the key skills from that week so they can continue progressing at home and re-join smoothly at their next class.

How big are the classes?
We keep classes intentionally small to ensure high-quality teaching and individual support. Spaces are limited and often fill quickly.

Is this a drop-off class?
Yes. You’re welcome to drop off and collect at the end. All tutors are DBS-checked, and the studio is fully insured.

Can they stay long-term?
Absolutely. Many students stay with us for multiple years, building a rich body of work, confidence, and progressing through Arts Award levels.

What are the payment options?
For termly courses, payment is taken on booking. For Arts Award pathways, you can pay in full or spread the cost across the terms needed for that level. Just let us know which option you prefer.
