Weekly Breakdown

Week 1: Introduction to drawing tools, line & shape studies

Week 2: Observational drawing – blind contour, gesture, and mark-making

Week 3: Tonal drawing – shading techniques and value scales

Week 4: Drawing a still life with tone and composition

Week 5: Introduction to colour – theory, the colour wheel, complementary colours

Week 6: Colour mixing & palette control – creating swatches and harmonious combinations

Week 7: Brushwork & mark-making with paint – small expressive exercises  Still life in colour – basic painting from observation

Week 8:Landscape or abstract project – applying composition and colour
