Weekly Art Classes with Arts Award

What is the Arts Award option?
Our weekly art class + Arts Award is designed for children and teens who would benefit from formal recognition of their creative work, while still enjoying the same relaxed, supportive studio environment.
Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification run by Trinity College London, and is completed alongside our weekly art classes — not as a separate lesson.
This option suits children who enjoy:
-
developing ideas over time
-
reflecting on their work
-
learning about artists and creative careers
-
working towards a clear goal
What’s included
Everything in our weekly art class, plus:
-
Arts Award accreditation on successful completion (Discover, Explore or Bronze – level guided by age and readiness)
-
Portfolio development: Support creating a sketchbook / portfolio that evidences learning and creativity
-
Artist research & inspiration: Exploring artists, styles and creative processes in an age-appropriate way
-
Reflection & creative journaling: Helping children talk and write about their ideas and progress
-
Guided support from trained Arts Award advisors: We help structure, track and prepare work for submission
-
Moderation & certification: Work is submitted and moderated, with certificates awarded on completion
How it works in practice
-
Arts Award is completed within the weekly art class over a minimum duration (Discover = 3 months / Explore = 4 months)
-
Children remain in the same class group
-
There is no exam and no pressure
-
Progress happens gradually, at a pace that suits each child
-
We submit their work when they have completed the minimum learning hours, and their portfolio is ready
Most children work towards their award over a term or longer, depending on the level.
Membership:
Membership payments are spread across 12 months to keep costs low. Payments are still required during holiday periods.

Explore = approx 4 Months to achieve.

£60 per month (weekday class)
HOW IT WORKS
Children attend a weekly class at a regular time. We don’t run our children’s classes as drop-in sessions. Instead, children enrol into a weekly programme so they can settle into a group and progress confidently. Classes are Term time only.
Our enrolment process:
1️⃣ Enrol into a weekly art programme: Children attend the same weekly class each term, building skills in a consistent group.
2️⃣ Choose your pathway
Children can attend:
-
Standard Weekly Art class
-
Weekly Art class + Arts Award
3️⃣ Monthly membership: Memberships run on a rolling monthly basis. No rebooking required. 30 days notice to cancel
4️⃣ Progress at your child’s pace: Arts Award can be added when and if your child is ready — it’s not compulsory.
This approach keeps classes calm, consistent, and supportive for every child.
