Get ready to try the pottery wheel in this fun, hands-on First Throw Mini Experience – a perfect introduction for complete beginners who want to have a go without committing to a longer session.

This 60-minute class is designed to give you a real taste of wheel throwing in a relaxed and supportive studio environment. With guidance from our friendly tutors, you’ll be introduced to the key basics of working on the potter’s wheel and experience the excitement of shaping clay with your own hands.

Whether you’re coming for a creative treat, trying something new with a friend, or booking a unique gift experience, this session is a lovely way to get stuck in and enjoy the magic of clay.

What You’ll Do:

🎨 Get hands-on with clay and learn the basics of preparing it for the wheel.
🌀 Be guided through the all-important first step of centring your clay.
🙌 Learn how to shape and pull your clay into your very first pot.
✨ Make one piece on the wheel, which we will professionally glaze and fire for you to keep.

The Best Bit?

No experience is needed at all – this session is all about having a go, enjoying the process, and experiencing the thrill of making something from scratch. It’s beginner-friendly, relaxed, and a great way to see if pottery on the wheel is for you.

At the end of the session, you’ll use our simple QR code form to choose your glaze colour and leave your contact details. We’ll then dry, fire, glaze, and finish your pot, ready for collection in around 4–6 weeks.
