About this course
Explore beautiful winter and festive themes using acrylic paint as the main medium, with the option to add decorative mixed-media touches such as texture, pattern, collage papers, metallic details and simple stamped effects.
You’ll be guided step-by-step through colour mixing, brushwork, layering, light and shadow, creating artwork filled with warmth, atmosphere and festive charm. Beginners are supported with the basics, while returning students can develop more depth, detail and personal style.

Festive Colour & Acrylic Basics
Get comfortable with acrylic paint, brushes and seasonal palettes – frosty blues and soft greys to rich reds, greens, golds and warm candlelit tones.
- Week 2
Winter Glow
Create glowing light, soft shadows and warm festive atmosphere – perfect for candlelight, fairy lights and cosy winter scenes.
- Week 3
Festive Still Life
Artwork inspired by baubles, ribbons, foliage, dried oranges, berries, candles and Christmas table settings.
- Week 4
Decorative Texture & Pattern
Experiment with texture, pattern, metallic details, collage papers and simple stamped or print-inspired effects.
- Week 5
Final Christmas Artwork
Bring your favourite techniques together in a finished festive painting or mixed-media artwork – to display at home or give as a handmade gift.
